City of Work

Just came back from Singapore from a weekend with Nancy and Alex. We visited an old Irish friend of ours who lives there, but is heading back for her home country in September. We made the most of our time and got to see a little of Singapore as well. One of the things our friend said was that Singapore is very much a worker's city. Everyone is mindset on making a career and spending all there time working and making money. Being Irish I could see how it was hard for her to socialize in such a material society.

It must have rubbed off on me because even though we had a lot of fun, I find myself concentrating on finding work this week. So little to no writing, but a firm concentration on updating my IT skills, my website and scourging through tons of consultant opportunities on the Net. If you know of any vacancy in the webdesign biz drop me a line. In the meantime the Muses get to rejuvenate in my mental spa and we'll see how far I get next week.
