7000

Hey,

7000. That's how many words I wrote yesterday. For some reason I couldn't stop. Maybe because I was writing away from home (in two different coffeeshops downtown), maybe because it was a particularly engaging scene, I don't know. But I am scared of the amount I am writing. I need to finish the last 5 chapters before I go to Malaysia in 2 weeks and I just don't know if I'll make it or sacrifice quality. It is only a first draft after all. But still. Today is friday and (maybe as a result of yesterday) I wrote nothing. I also stayed at home with the exception of paying my son's third trimester pre-kindergarten, which costs more than a year of my university back in 1990.

I've browsed the Internet (always a time suck), got further engaged int he Zeitgeist Movement (Google it or watch it here: http://vimeo.com/6346955) and updated my notebook of necessary software and power. Consequently never got around to writing. Now is pizza time, unwinding with the whole family and this weekend I'll have my slate full with activities other than entertaining the Muses. Oh well. Yin Yang. You win some, you lose some.

Have a great weekend!
