A Little Time & A Little Notepad

Good evening,

It was a busy day today. We had a Hungarian photographer visit us to make professional pictures of Nancy, Alex and me. The last time we did that was in Ireland in 2006, so it was high time. He came at 8am and shot us having breakfast, walking around the garden level of the townhouse complex we live in and in the pool. The photo's were all very casual and we had a good time. Then we stayed at the pool for a good time, had brunch with Nancy's colleague Kari and her kids (also friends of Alex) and finally all went together to the shopping mall to play at a playground. So little time really for writing. But that is how it is on the weekend and its OK.

I've started to scale back a little bit on the obsession of writing, because otherwise it just becomes a chore and I'll end up regretting having to do it. I'm also afraid that by pushing myself that hard I'll end up writing more mediocre material and skip a lot of the plot elements or character building just to get to the end. So no more 2000 words a day, its nice if I manage it, but otherwise I'll just be happy if I get something done. And with regards to those moments I can actually write (like tonight when Nancy goes to Hot Yoga classes and Alex is in bed) I'll whip out my little notepad, park myself in front of the TV and write a little until the Muses fall asleep on my keyboard with QWERTY written on their forehead.

Cheers.
